Peaky Blinders Set for Blockchain Game Adaptation in 2026

Popular British crime drama Peaky Blinders is set to expand beyond television with a new blockchain-powered video game scheduled for release in 2026.
Developed by Anonymous Labs in partnership with Banijay Rights, the project will allow players to step into post-World War I Birmingham and experience the gritty environment made famous by the series.
Whilst the game will feature tokenised in-game currency and interactive action sequences, few specifics about gameplay mechanics or the underlying blockchain technology have been released so far.

What can we expect from the game?
The upcoming Peaky Blinders project is described as a broader “ecosystem” rather than a single video game, featuring a variety of interactive experiences.
Players will navigate a virtual Birmingham in the aftermath of World War I, encountering action-driven gameplay and utilising a tokenised currency within the game environment. It is not yet confirmed which blockchain network will support the game or whether blockchain-based assets such as NFTs will be included.
Anonymous Labs, which previously launched the Simon’s Cat meme coin, has not released details on the game’s economic structure or how the token system will function beyond general references to a web3 framework. The company states that the game is intended to appeal both to long-time fans of the series and to new players interested in digital gaming experiences.

Who is behind the project?
The game is being developed by Anonymous Labs, which focuses on creating blockchain projects based on well-known intellectual properties. Their earlier project, the Simon’s Cat token on the BNB Chain, reached a market capitalisation of around $45 million during a recent market rally.
Banijay Rights, which manages the global distribution and licensing of Peaky Blinders, brokered the agreement and will oversee its expansion into the web3 space.
Peaky Blinders, which aired from 2013 to 2022 and starred Cillian Murphy, has maintained a strong global following, currently boosted by its availability on Netflix. The new game represents an effort to extend the brand into digital and blockchain-driven spaces.
