The Sei Development Foundation has announced the appointment of Jamie Finn, co-founder of Securitize, as a strategic advisor. Finn is set to leverage his extensive experience in technology, finance, and digital assets to enhance the foundation’s strategic growth and the adoption of real-world assets (RWA) on the Sei platform.

Strategic Expertise

Finn’s appointment is expected to bring significant expertise to the foundation, particularly in the realm of tokenized digital assets and RWAs. His previous role as Co-Founder and President of Securitize saw him lead the company to become a registered broker-dealer and a leader in digital asset infrastructure. At Sei, Finn will explore new use cases and partnerships to drive institutional adoption of open-source protocols.

Vision for Blockchain Evolution

Commenting on his new role, Finn stated, “The next evolution of blockchain is about unlocking meaningful connectivity between traditional finance and the onchain economy.” He expressed enthusiasm for Sei’s platform, noting its scalability and compliance, which make it suitable for institutional-grade tokenized RWA strategies. Finn aims to support Sei in building infrastructure that bridges capital, enhances market access, and promotes the sustainable adoption of tokenized assets.

Justin Barlow, Executive Director at the Sei Development Foundation, praised Finn’s qualifications, citing his institutional credibility and technical insight as key assets. Barlow emphasized that Finn’s guidance will be crucial in shaping the foundation’s go-to-market strategies and engaging with leading asset managers.
