Moku unveils Tama Meme fair-launch token launchpad on Ronin
Moku has unveiled Tama Meme, the first fair-launch token launchpad on Sky Mavis‘ Ronin blockchain network.
This marks a significant milestone in Ronin’s roadmap as it transitions to becoming an open blockchain, inviting even broader collaboration within its ecosystem. Sky Mavis is the creator of the popular Axie Infinity games that started the blockchain gaming craze in 2021 and it created Ronin to enable the launch of a broader set of games on its network.
In this case, Moku’s Tama Meme provides guilds, communities, games, and projects with the ability to launch, trade, and meme tokens on Ronin.
Moku has a history of pioneering on-chain questing and creator tools on Ronin. Now the developer is entering a new chapter to diversify dapps and experiences within the Ronin’s ecosystem.
The Tama Meme platform employs fair-launch mechanisms, allowing anyone to participate when a token is introduced. This means that early adopters can explore new communities and earn rewards for their involvement.
Asked about this, Moku said in a message to GamesBeat, “What’s a fair launch? It specifically refers to launching a token at a very low market cap. Anyone can buy the token as soon as it’s announced in a transparent manner. This approach shifts the narrative from exclusivity to inclusivity. Historically, large portions of tokens are often allocated to exchanges, KOLs, or investors, leaving everyday participants out. A fair launch puts power back in the hands of the community, ensuring they have a real chance to invest before the token grows significantly in market cap.”
“Tama Meme acts as a productized representation of the lessons the Moku team has learned over the past there years of continuous building. It does more than just bring Memecoins to Ronin—it accelerates the journey from an initial idea to a thriving community around a nascent business,” said Jeff Zirlin, chief growth officer of Sky Mavis, in a statement. “Ultimately, Ronin wins by becoming the best platform for anyone to build and test bold, innovative concepts, and Tama Meme is looking like it’ll be a key driver of that vision.”
For the past four years, Ronin has operated as a curated blockchain, focusing on delivering high-quality gaming experiences in a controlled environment. Beginning in 2025, Ronin will embrace a new era by opening its doors to a wider range of games, DeFi projects, and applications. The launch of Tama Meme, along with the recent introduction of the JAIHOZ AI Agent, are examples of this shift.
“Tama Meme is the platform to help usher in a new wave of builders and making DeFi accessible to every person on Ronin. We’re excited to see all of the amazing ideas and tech that will emerge from the Ronin ecosystem through Tama Meme. We will be utilizing our experience, tools, and existing distribution to help facilitate the next era of Open Ronin,” said Hantao Yuan, cofounder at Moku, in a statement.
To celebrate the launch, Moku is hosting two events. The first, The Ratz Race, invites participants to earn points and climb the leaderboard for a chance to win over $40,000 in prizes, including $RON and rare Moki Eggs. The event runs from January 21 at 6 a.m. Pacific to February 18 at 6 a.m. Pacific. The second event, hosted on Moku HQ, features new Tama Meme-themed quests. Participants can earn points, enter daily $RON raffles, and unlock spins in the gacha for even more rewards.

Founded in 2021, Moku is a Web3-native developer backed by Sky Mavis and a16z Speedrun. Moku built Moku HQ—a launchpad for Web3 games on the Ronin blockchain that also serves as a “home base” for their communities — 300,000 Web3 gamers.
Moku creates products designed to unite communities and continues to innovate at the intersection of gaming and blockchain like the Moku Pouch, the first-ever Discord-native wallet. The company publishes both first-party and third-party games and has collaborated with several well-known titles and collections in the industry, including Pixels, CyberKongz, and Ragmon Monster World.
Additionally, Moku runs one of the largest creator programs in the Web3 space, with over 3,000 members actively developing and promoting mini-games. An example of their success is Moki Pochi, a browser-based match-style game played more than 250,000 times. Moku will soon release a new version of Moki Pochi that will be playable in Discord as a Discord Activity. This will include a PVP mode where players can go head to head. Later in Q1, Moku will release Super Battle Moki, an asynchronous autobattler that will include paid runs, and also a game that will feature AI training and real-time wagering.
The Moku team currently has 25 employees. The company is fully remote and it has raised $5.35 million to date. As fa as the inspiration for starting it goes, Moku started as an Axie Infinity guild and then transformed into becoming a key partner for Ronin, where we created the Ronin Creator Program and provided GTM expertise for many Ronin ecosystem games. This was done through Moku HQ, the rewards platform, and activations with strong community of gamers.
