Paul Atkins, President Trump’s nomination to become the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, passed a vote from the U.S. Senate Banking Committee on Thursday.
Following the 13-11 vote, in which all Democrats were opposed to Trump’s pick, the nomination of Atkins—expected to be a pro-crypto SEC Chair—will now go on to the Senate floor for a full vote.
